Intek Names Steve Kubiak as Director of Additive Manufacturing

Intek Plastics announced the appointment of Steve Kubiak as director of additive manufacturing.

Kubiak brings more than a decade of experience in additive manufacturing and polymer processing, including developing and qualifying polymer materials for demanding production applications. Throughout his career, he has focused on equipping customers with material-centric solutions, sourcing and developing new resins and feedstocks for additive manufacturing and integrating those materials into validated production environments.

He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, with coursework that included additive manufacturing technologies and materials selection.

“Additive manufacturing plays a growing role in how our customers develop and produce plastic components,” said Kevin Hogan, CEO and president of Intek. “This appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening these capabilities and further integrating them with our manufacturing services to help customers reduce time to market and improve products.”

In his role, Kubiak will lead efforts to expand Intek’s additive technologies and integrate them with the company’s design for manufacturing and production services.

Intek offers additive manufacturing technologies such as stereolithography and selective laser sintering for prototyping and low-volume production, along with design for manufacturing support across injection molding, extrusion and additive workflows.
